We will post pictures and updates as we modify, improve, and test our “Solar Beast” in preparation for the annual race during the summer! The Wylie East Solar Car team competes in the Solar Car Challenge Event and is tasked with designing, constructing, and perfecting a fully functional car powered only by the Sun's rays.

National champions in the advance classic division for the second year in a row!

We drove 579 laps around Texas Motor Speedway in 4 days with daily awards for the most miles driven:

Day 1 results- 1st place
Day 2 results- 1st place
Day 3 results- 2nd place
Day 4 results- 1st place
