We’re talking about why local chapters matter in this HQ Heart Check. 💗

Because 40 Something Cowgirls was never meant to be just a name on a membership card.

Chapters are where the magic happens. They are where women find friendship, encouragement, laughter, support, and a place to show up exactly as they are.

Whether it is coffee, trail rides, lunch dates, horse shows, road trips, or just having someone who gets this season of life, local chapters help turn connection into community.

That is the heart of 40 Something Cowgirls. 🤠💕

Watch this HQ Heart Check as we talk about why chapters matter and why starting one in your area could make a bigger difference than you think.

Friday was Dental Day! ✨
Hosted by our very own cowgirl Rhonda, it was all about keeping our horses happy and healthy. We were fortunate to have one of the very best equine dentists working with our herd, and every horse did an amazing job!
A big thank you to everyone involved in making the day run smoothly. Healthy teeth mean happier horses!

What an amazing group of cowgirls!
We had a wonderful turnout at our monthly meeting tonight with 22 ladies in attendance, including 4 future Wylie Chapter Cowgirls! We’re so excited to welcome them and look forward to having them join us.
During the meeting, we discussed upcoming events, brainstormed ideas for summer activities while the weather is too hot for riding, and talked about fundraiser opportunities for our chapter. These ladies brought some fantastic ideas to the table!
We also recognized our June birthdays and held our raffle drawing. Congratulations to Debbie for being this month’s winner!
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening so much fun. If you missed this meeting, we hope to see you at the next one:
📅 Thursday, July 16

We can’t wait to see everyone there!

We unfortunately did not get a group picture this time!

Before polished videos, smooth transitions, and easy editing apps… there was this little gem.

One of our early attempts at creating a welcome video for new chapter members, featuring four familiar HQ faces at the time: Rhonda, Kim, Kristi, and Jodie, who also served as our former retail manager and Breckenridge Chapter Queen.

There were funny faces.
There were forgotten lines.
There was laughing.
There was starting over.
There was probably at least one person silently questioning all of her life choices.
And at one point, there was a very enthusiastic, slightly colorful team pep talk that basically meant, “Come on ladies, we can do this!”

Because we needed to get it all right in one take, it took what felt like approximately 847 tries.

You may even spot the old “www” version of our website, but don’t worry, the phone number is still the same and the cowgirl spirit is fully intact.

This is the kind of behind-the-scenes moment that reminds us 40 Something Cowgirls has always been built by real women doing their best, laughing through the mess-ups, and eventually getting the words out in the right order.

Mostly.

We have never been about perfection.

We have always been about showing up, trying again, and finding a way to laugh together when things go sideways. 🤍

Sometimes the outtakes say it best. 🤠😂

We’re leaning into more relationship-building conversations on Beneath the Brim because sisterhood doesn’t grow from perfect scripts. It grows from real moments, shared stories, laughter, honesty, and the kind of conversations that make you say, “Oh thank goodness, it’s not just me.”

So yes, there will be laughs.
There will probably be more bloopers.
And there will definitely be more real talk from beneath the brim. 🤎

Stay tuned, cowgirls. This is just the beginning. Next episiode: July 7th at 7 pm Central time

Today we saddled up for a St. Jude fundraiser trail ride! It was an amazing turnout, with around 75 riders total hitting the trail, plus several wagons pulled by mules.
The Texas heat definitely made itself known, but it was all worth it to support such a wonderful cause. It was great to see so many people come together to help make a difference for the kids and families served by St. Jude. Thank you to everyone who came out to ride. The fundraiser brought in over $18,000!! 🤠

There’s been so much going on lately, it’s hard to keep up!
From camping trips and playdays to trail rides and everything in between, our chapter has definitely been staying busy!
When I say our chapter is willing to give just about anything a try, I mean it. A couple of weekends ago, some of our members checked out a new camping spot for the group at SixRS—and it was a great opportunity to explore, spend time together, and see what new adventures might be in store.
We love finding new places, making memories, and enjoying the camaraderie that makes our chapter so special. Stay tuned—there’s always something exciting happening with this bunch of cowgirls!!

🤎 Did you miss Beneath the Brim LIVE?

Last night’s conversation was full of reflection, laughter, honesty, and a few questions that really made us stop and think.

We talked about the journey from then to now—the dreams we had, the lessons we never expected to learn, the twists in the road, and the women we've become along the way.

One question that sparked some powerful responses was:

✨ What would your younger self be proud of today?

But that was just one part of a much bigger conversation about growth, resilience, life lessons, and learning to appreciate the journey that brought us here.

🎥 Catch the replay below!

After you've watched, we'd love to hear from you:

💭 What would your younger self be most proud of?
💭 What part of your journey has shaped you the most?

Drop your thoughts in the comments and continue the conversation with your Cowgirl sisters. 🤍 Mark your calendar for our next episode coming up on July 7th
