Born and raised in Stigler, Oklahoma. Married Debbi In 1975, graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma in 1977 with an Accounting Degree, and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1980. Began employment with Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1977, and retired from ConocoPhillips in 2012. Debbi is a retired kindergarten teacher. They have 2 children: Jessica is a professional photographer living in California; and Kyle is a school fund raising consultant and lives In Tulsa. They enjoy the lake life and have had a house on Grand Lake for over 20 years, moving here full time in 2012. He enjoys boating, photography, traveling, and working on small projects around the house.

Nick Bowers is originally from Missouri but grew up throughout the Midwest. He spent his high school years in Neosho and moved to Fairland in 2007.
Since 2016 he has worked for Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative, and BOLT Fiber Optic Services where he handles their Key Accounts. He joined the Grove Rotary in 2017.
He has two children, a son Jaxon, and daughter Amelia.
