It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our dear friend and longtime volunteer Patricia A Wissing. (1937-2026) Pat was a cherished member of our community and a devoted Thursday volunteer at the Mercy Soup Kitchen for over twenty years. Her kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit touched countless lives. Here are some highlights from a busy week that began with a donation of 180lbs of chicken, 90lbs each of pork loin, ground beef, and smoked sausage from Long Island Cares which will be put to good use. And we cant thank enough all our volunteeers who make each day special.It takes a village and we are thankful to have you all. We will be open tomorrow and Memorial Day 🇺🇸 (Monday). Hunger doesnt take a day of and neither do we.
