🎉 Congratulations to Greenup County Extension Homemakers! 🎉

During the 2024–2025 year, Homemakers from across Greenup County came together to make and sell more than 500 chocolate-covered Easter eggs to help support our local youth. 🥚🍫

Because of their hard work and community support, they raised an incredible $2,800 to sponsor Greenup County children attending 4-H Camp! ⛺💚

Their project was recognized at the State Meeting, where they proudly received First Place for their efforts and impact. Accepting the award is Suzie Fields County Treasurer.

This is a wonderful example of what can happen when volunteers work together to invest in the future of our community. Thank you to everyone who helped make, sell, and support this project! 💙💛

Happy Mother’s Day from Greenup County Extension Homemakers! 💐

Today we celebrate all the amazing women who care for families, friends, neighbors, and communities in countless ways each and every day. Homemakers is about more than meetings and projects — it’s about friendship, encouragement, service, and building connections that feel like family.

We are thankful for every member and supporter who helps make our Extension Homemakers community so special. Wishing everyone a beautiful and blessed Mother’s Day! 💕

We are having a wonderful time celebrating fellowship, leadership, and all the amazing work of our Greenup County Extension Homemakers at our Annual County Meeting held at beautiful Greenbo Lake State Resort Park 🌿

From sharing ideas to strengthening friendships, it is a day full of connection and inspiration. 💙

We truly miss those who can’t be with us—you are in our thoughts and we look forward to seeing you soon!

🐣💛 Sweet Success for a Great Cause! 💛🐣

A dedicated group of a dozen Extension Homemakers rolled up their sleeves and got to work—making over 500 delicious peanut butter and coconut Easter eggs! 🥚🍫

All this hard work is part of our fundraiser to help send local kids to 4-H Camp, giving them the chance to learn, grow, and make lifelong memories. 🌱🏕️

We are so proud of the teamwork, heart, and community spirit that went into every single egg. ❤️

🧵✂️ Beginner Adult Sewing Class – No Experience Required! ✂️🧵

Have you always wanted to learn how to sew? Now’s your chance! Join us for a 3-part beginner sewing series designed to teach you the basics in a fun, supportive environment. These sessions will be lead by Greenup County Master Clothing Volunteer, Rhonda Barker.

📅 Class Dates (Attend All 3 Sessions):
• March 13, 2026 | 1:00–3:00 PM
• March 20, 2026 | 1:00–3:00 PM
• March 27, 2026 | 1:00–3:00 PM

🪡 Workshop Objectives:
✔️ Basic machine functions, use & maintenance
✔️ Commonly used seams and seam finishes
✔️ Zippers

🧰 Supply List:
• Working sewing machine (bring your manual if you have it)
• Thread & bobbins
• Fabric scissors
• Sewing pins or clips
• Extension cord

Once again, the Greenup County Extension Homemakers will be selling Homemade Easter Eggs for $5.00. The flavors are Peanut butter in Milk chocolate or in White Chocolate and Coconut Cream in Milk chocolate. All proceeds go to Greenup County 4- H scholarships for 4-H camp. Please help us send children to Camp. To order see any Greenup County Homemaker; or call the Greenup County Extension Office @ 606-836-0201 from now until March 16th.
