🤝**Thank You from the Fire Chief** 🇺🇲
As the numbers continue to trickle in and we finalize remaining items from our annual golf tournament, I can say we have surpassed our own goals. This years golf tournament was the largest profitable fundraiser in the department’s history and to that - many need to be recognized!
First, the Chairman - Kelli Livelsberger, and the membership that dedicated so many hours in making this event such a huge success!
Secondly, Burning Bridge Tavern and Mann Family, if people truly understood the amount that you give back to our community they would be surprised! We and the fire department truly appreciate your generosity and everything you do for us!
Also our other local businesses, Hake's Sporting Goods, Susquehanna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Donsco Inc, John Wright Restaurant, Wrightsville Social Club, American Legion Post 469, Half Nuts Popcorn Co. LLC, Re/max Pinnacle Nathan Krotzer Team, Sue's Market, Marcello's Pizza - Wrightsville, Brewery Products, Ace Distributing, IDS Impact Disaster Services, Paddock on Market - York, PA , The First Post, Long Level Marina, WhiteCap Water Rescue Training, LLC…and many others that supported our event! I often say it’s small businesses that makes America the best place to live, not corporate businesses like Walmart.
To the golfers: you make it possible and how fun it is to interact with each other! Thank you for continuing to support our mission!
This years event fell on September 11th, 20 years to the date that all of our lives changed forever. Hellam Township resident Todd Fritz offered his army vehicle to be used as a backdrop for the band, which was a beautiful touch to the day! It was such a wonderful sight seeing OUR Town, Our Community enjoying themselves.
Whiskey On The Rocks…you nailed the tribute for 9/11 honoring and remembering those that were lost that day!
A heartfelt thank you to all of you! I am truly humbled.

All across York County on Memorial Day, in communities large and small, people from all walks of life joined together in meaningful ways to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our liberty and freedom. I concluded Memorial Day in Wrightsville and was reminded by the youngest member of the Legion why York County is such a special place. Thank you to the American Legion Post 469 for the opportunity to join the Memorial Day parade and offer remarks at the service in Fairview Cemetery. And thank you to the community members, elected officials, Wrightsville Fire & Rescue Company 41, and Hellam Township Police for being part of a special day.
Come out to the Wrightsville Memorial Day Parade! We will be handing out flags along the parade route. Thanks to Gina Frey-Jones at Half Nuts Popcorn Co. LLC for taking our picture on the RIVERTOWNE TROLLEY CO., LLC.
A BIG THANK YOU to American Legion Post 469 for keeping the tradition alive. This year's was one of the best!
**Message from the Fire Chief**
There are not enough words to express the appreciation and gratitude that I have felt over the last few months from our community, local businesses, golf tournament participants and lastly the members of the department. As I sit back and reflect on Saturday's golf tournament I am beyond humbled, grateful and very much amazed by all the support we have received.
To the individuals, businesses and organizations near and far to our area that donated to our event, I would like to personally thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is people like you that help keep the VOLUNTEER Fire Service alive and help us continue to do the things we do for our community. We are forever grateful for you. To the local businesses/ organizations in our area, I would like to give you an extra special shout out - The Wrightsville Social Club, Susquehanna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Burning Bridge Tavern, Donsco, Inc, Hake's Sporting Goods, American Legion Post 469, Scritchfield Controls, LLC, John Wright Restaurant, Half Nuts Popcorn Co. Enjoy these photos of Boy Scout Troop 389 and Cub Scout Pack 389, sponsored by Atlantic Christian School, from today's Memorial Day Parade in Longport, New Jersey as they paid tribute to the many who fought and died for this country. The parade ended with a ceremony and program held at the Longport Gazebo at 36th Street and Atlantic Avenue. The Scouts were included in the program, re-enacting the iconic flag-raising at Iwo Jima by U.S. Marines, which they also did three times during the parade. Scoutmaster Mike Jorgenson did an excellent job preparing the scouts for the event. Members of American Legion Post 469 of Longport, including Frank D'Alonzo and Tom Schnepp, thanked and congratulated the scouts for a job well done.

Nice job today with the parade. So glad you brought it back !!!
This story was truly an honor to work on. I have a lot of friends and family who are veterans, and their yearning to serve is something I saw in Kurtis too. Thanks to him and his wife Jimi for the time they took to talk to me.
If you can, there's ways to donate to soldiers serving overseas and homeless veterans here in the states.
