This picture was in a package in the time capsule but could find no identification inside. There are a couple items that go with it. If someone knows who it might be let me know so they can pick it up.

With everything going on with the opening of the time capsule we completely forgot about auctioning off the time capsule.
It is the time capsule vault from 1976. It is 23" wide 59" long and 22" deep not counting the lid. Bottom would make a good livestock water trough and the top a good feed trough. The highest offer gets it. I will deliver locally if you have a way to unload it. Just to be transparent post your bid in the comments. I will take no more bids after 8 am on Monday June 22nd. The final sale, the money will go to the Johnson County Historical Society for the museum. Bid as often as you like.

This is a picture of the John Victor Greenway family, probably from the late 1880s. It was donated to the museum by the Mrs. Lattie Price family. We have had it framed and matted and ready to hang in museum. Thanks to the great job Hobby Lobby in Dublin did. If you have anything related to Johnson County history we would love to have it in museum for everyone to see.

On behalf of the July 4th Committee, I would like to thank everyone who came out today for the opening of the time capsule. If you was there then you now realize why we couldn't do it on the fourth. Some of the contents was damp, some things totally ruined. The vault had very little water in it. I believe the damage came from everything being wrapped in plastic and as you know it sweats and trapped moisture in it. Unfortunately we had no control over that. I will be at the museum from 8:30am till 12 noon on Monday's until the 4th. That day I will be set up somewhere on the courthouse. I can also meet by appointment on other days. In the meantime I will try to contact people on the list that haven't already picked up their stuff.
The museum is at 6818 College Street across from Leon Lovett's place. My number is 478-232-5913.

This is the Central of Georgia #223 housed in the Georgia Railroad Museum in Savannah. It is a 2-8-0 consolidation built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works iƱ1907. After World War 1 it was transferred to the Wrightville and Tennille, the short line railroad was owned by the Central of Georgia. It is believed to be the last steam driven train to run on the W & T.
