Georgia is seeing its hottest days of the year so far. Please look again to ensure you aren’t leaving a child unattended in your car. It’s also important to keep kids hydrated and limit outdoor play to cooler hours! Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning

Johnson County has the FERST READERS PROGRAM that is the same thing as Dolly Parton’s book program. Children from birth to age 5 get a free book each month. I will need your child’s name, DOB, address, your number and email to sign your child up. PM me this info and it take around 2 months to start receiving books.

I want to thank everyone who participated tonight in our first ever Trunk or Treat and Fall Fun Fair. We received so many compliments about having it at the school and the way it was set up. Amber Attaway had the great idea to have everyone giving out candy back up to the track so the kids could walk around to Trick or Treat. We couldn’t have had that many at the courthouse in the parking lots. It was great to be able to see everything going on in the same area. Our food vendors were amazing! Thank you to Downfrom Dayone Angels in Flight Recovery Center Hypnotic Bikers San Jugg Jessie Joseph Thrasher The Fish Box! Everyone can thank Kimmer Darrisaw for his idea to join the two events. When I met with the Dayone group to discuss our JoCo Relationships 101 Teen Dating Violence Grant, I mentioned receiving a grant to have a health fair and he suggested having it with Trunk or Treat to reach more people. I had no idea from that meeting what our event would turn into! Shelby Carter Gracie Foskey Heather Ivey McEachern Gina Bright Kim Blair Rhett Wombles and all the students who helped getting things set up and bags made for everyone signing in…this event would not have been possible! You all working behind the scenes made it a success! Parents please go through your bags and read all the information from our JoCo Prevention Alliance Partners In Prevention Project Grant and Johnson County Family Connection Collaborative. Thank you again for attending!
