On September 29, 2010, Colonel Robert L. Maness, 377th Air Base Wing commander, joined Brother James Gaffney, President, Lewis University, dedicated the National Testing Center on Kirtland AFB. Lewis University has joined with the Kirtland Education Center to provide the Kirtland Community with access to CLEP, DANTES, and Excelsior computer-based testing to save airmen both time and money in the pursuit of a college education.

Oklahoma City Air Logistic Commander, Maj. Gen. David Gillet and CMSgt Juan Vega, served Tinker Air Force Base Airmen at the annual Thanksgiving meal at Vanwey Dining Facility. More than 500 Airmen and their families enjoyed the holiday feast hosted by 72nd Force Support Squadron and base leadership.
