If I wasn't so busy with a full time job and mothering three children over the last 23 years I would have chosen the path of being President of the Jon and Chrissy Tillar fan club!

Which is why I'm embarrassed to say I can't find any other images of them anywhere on any of my devices to post here to announce they will be playing live at our upcoming Souper Heroes event next week, Thursday, April 23 from 6-8 Seventh Son Brewing!

It makes no sense at all because they have been so generous about playing at so many of the events I have tossed out into the world over the last two decades.

Sometimes they show up just the two of them. Sometimes they bring a whole band or one friend like they did here in the photo. Either way, they always make the night more dynamic with their music.

I've sent their names to so many other people throwing events because I want everyone to join the Jon and Chrissy Tillar fan club with me!

That includes you! Make plans to come hear them at Souper Heroes next week. Get all the event details here.

I was sitting with a new friend who said, did you know they have a Jackson Pollack painting at the Columbus Art Museum that isn't on display? The answer was no. Followed by a quick, Well how do we get them to display it?!?!

We then brainstormed an event called (ok we actually haven't landed on a name ... yet) that would feature the painting for one night. We would also include Columbus artists who could display just one piece of their work alongside the Pollack. Because ... local artists rock.

It would be like a huge mixed tape of wonderful art for one night only. Of course, it would have a charity pay-it-forward type component as well (and of course food and drink!). We laughed about it and how much we would want to go to an event like that.

Then in true Tricia Janusz fashion, a couple days later I called the art museum. I needed to know more. And pitch them this totally doable idea. They said no. And although I have more questions to ask, I moved on.

But it got me thinking about what I love to do. Bring people together over simple, yet fun ideas and give us all a way to pay it forward.

So when the Souper Heroes events at the Worthington Farmer's Market had to be canceled, I thought, I don't need to reinvent the wheel to put something back out into the world. I can simply revisit the thing I launched years and years and years ago. So here we are.

The moral of the story. Do the thing. Whatever motivates you. It doesn't have to be new or shiny or grand. It can simply be something you love to do.

So ... check out this one night only Souper Heroes event at Seventh Son on Thursday, April 23rd from 6-8. I would love love love to see you there. Just like the glory days.

(And I'll have a petition to sign to see if we can get that Pollack painting out of the closet. Ha!)

We regret to announce that ALL Souper Heroes events at the indoor Worthington Farmers Market are cancelled. The space previously used for soup events is no longer available. (Please Note: This does not affect the market schedule. The indoor market continues every Saturday, 9am to Noon, through the end of April.) We are so grateful to everyone who supported past Souper Heroes events – mall management; soup makers; market management, vendors, staff and volunteers; Columbus Food Bloggers, and our many neighbors and friends who attended and contributed funds to help address food insecurity in our community. Together, we served over 100 delicious homemade soups to nearly 1,000 guests and collected $3,000+ in donations on behalf of the Worthington Resource Pantry. It has been our honor and privilege to host these events and we so appreciate your support. Thank you!
