Mark and Donna Penney, alongside their family, friends, and the IMHO USA community, have established the Sonya Lynch (née Penney) Memorial Fund at the Centre for Handicapped in Kundasale, Kandy. This enduring endowment provides life-changing prosthesis and orthosis devices for 37 children annually, ensuring Sonya’s memory lives on through the gift of independence for generations to come.
We are deeply grateful to the Penney family and all the donors who helped make this permanent vision of care a reality. 🕊️

We are proud to announce the inauguration of the Jaffna Day Surgery Centre, a project made possible through the vital support of IMHO-USA and our local partners. As Sri Lanka's first same-day surgery model, the JDSC eases hospital congestion and reduces infection risks while ensuring patients can return to their families and livelihoods faster. Our commitment of over $235,000 in equipment and staffing is helping build a more efficient, dignified healthcare system for the 1.15 million people of the Northern Province.

Thanks to the generous funding from the Hartley College 1981 A/L Batch, 50 patients are undergoing free cataract surgeries at Teaching Hospital Batticaloa. Implemented by IMHO USA, this initiative is helping these individuals regain their sight, their independence, and their futures.

IMHO USA swiftly responded to the Cyclone Ditwah flooding by providing dry ration packets and stationery kits to families throughout several severely impacted districts in Sri Lanka.

IMHO USA constructed a three-classroom building at the Thiruvalluvar Tamil Vidyalayam in Maskeliya in Central Province, Sri Lanka to alleviate overcrowding at the school. We would like to thank Manitha Neyam Trust for funding the construction of the school building and the Krishanthan Family in the UK for sponsoring this project.

We are happy to share our recent donation of an operating room monitor to Mario Caterino Rivas Hospital in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The family, friends, and community of Mrs. Sonya Lynch (née Penney) generously donated the monitor in memory of Sonya, who was a passionate pediatric nurse. Sonya’s love for nursing continues to make positive ripple effects leading to impact across the globe. The impact that one person can make should never be doubted.
