Nobles County Integration Collaborative Contact us to learn more! NCIC provides integrated activities for students that create multicultural awareness and understanding.

NCIC serves Nobles County youth with school-year programs (Dynamic 507, Odyssey, Horizon, homework help, Kindness Retreats) and summer programs (Ready, Set, Read!, Culture Camp, STEM, Voyage, Cuentos, Friday Outings, events). We are a collaboration of six school districts in Nobles County - Adrian, Ellsworth, Fulda, Heron Lake-Okabena, Round Lake-Brewster, and Worthington.

Hello everyone, and welcome back to the 2026–2027 school year! 🎉

The NCIC team is getting ready for another exciting year of programs and activities. We’re kicking things off with our Annual Kickoff, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome back returning students and meet new faces joining our programs!

This year, we’re also inviting students families to attend and get to know the staff and team members their students will be working with throughout the year. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend with their students! ❤️

From the school year all the way through summer, students from surrounding school districts and Worthington had the opportunity to volunteer with our programs and events! 💙🙌

As a BIG thank you for all their hard work and dedication, we gave them a round of applause 👏 and celebrated with a fun trip to Valleyfair! 🎢🎡

This is definitely a group we’ve loved having with us, and while we’ll miss those who are moving on, we can’t wait to see many familiar faces return! 🥹💙

🏊‍♀️ Last but definitely not least… our Swimming Day! ☀️💦

This Swimming Day was extra special! We collaborated our High School Friday Outings and Culture Camp programs to bring everyone together for double the fun! 🎉

Although the day started off a little chilly, Mother Nature gave us a helping hand and brought out the sunshine for the rest of our day. ☀️😎 We couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend our final summer program day!

A HUGE thank you to all the families who gave us the opportunity to spend the summer creating memories, having fun, and making this summer one to remember. ❤️

On the final day of Culture Camp, youth leader Estrella Bahena shared a wonderful presentation about her family’s roots in Retalhuleu, Guatemala! 🇬🇹

Estrella’s mom joined us as a special guest model, showcasing beautiful traditional clothing, bags, and currency from Guatemala. She also introduced us to Tinga, a delicious traditional dish, which our students loved getting to try! They also enjoyed some delicious Tamarindo candy. 😋

A huge thank you to Estrella and her mom for sharing their culture, family history, and traditions with us. What a wonderful way to wrap up Culture Camp! ❤️

Day 2 of Culture Camp: Germany! 🇩🇪🌍

Day 2 of Culture Camp took us to Germany! We were excited to have one of our student volunteers from Adrian School District, Lexus Van Western, share her knowledge of German culture, her family background, and personal stories with the kiddos.

We started the day by learning about Germany's history before students divided into groups and headed to the kitchen to make a delicious traditional dessert: German Apple Cake (Apfelkuchen).

But we didn't stop there! Students also worked together to prepare a popular savory German dish, Currywurst mit Pommes, featuring sliced sausage served with French fries.

Teamwork made it all possible, and the kitchen was filled with laughter, positive energy, and plenty of smiles. Even our staff couldn't resist joining in on the fun!

Thank you, Lexus, for sharing your culture, experiences, and stories with our campers. It was another amazing day of learning, cooking, and celebrating cultures together! 🇩🇪❤️

Day 1 of Culture Camp: Anyuak Culture! 🌍

Culture Camp Day 1: We kicked off with an incredible introduction to Anyuak culture, led by one of our returning staff members, Newyouman Gora.

Students had the opportunity to learn and practice the Anyuak language, enjoy a traditional treat, and experience cultural dancing. Newyouman also shared the significance of sacred animal hides and showcased the beautiful artistry of traditional beadwork. Student were able to touch and wear the master pieces as well, then created their own beadwork while learning and practicing traditional dance moves.

What an amazing start to Culture Camp! Thank you, Newyouman, for sharing your culture and helping make Day 1 such a memorable experience.

On our 3rd Friday Outing we went to Devils Gulch park in Garretson, SD.☀️
We had such a great experience. We got to hike on naturally made steps, see hidden bridges, views, and a waterfall. We had our Family and Community Liaisons join us.

We had such an amazing time connecting with new students and families, playing games, and building memories together. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this summer so special!
A massive THANK YOU to our incredible families, our hard-working lunch ladies!. We can’t wait to see you all next summer! ☀️
