Make sure you make a conscious effort to have your blood pressure checked at least once a year and more often if you are at risk or if you have hypertension in your family. According to JNC8, In the general population, pharmacologic treatment should be initiated when blood pressure is 150/90 mm Hg or higher in adults 60 years and older, or 140/90 mm Hg or higher in adults younger than 60 years.
• In patients with hypertension and diabetes, pharmacologic treatment should be initiated when blood pressure is 140/90 mm Hg or higher, regardless of age.

Have you or someone you know tested positive for COVID-19 and has to take time off work to recover?🤒

The City of Columbus - City Hall announced the Right to Recover program which offers financial assistance to Columbus residents taking time off work to isolate and recover from COVID-19. Those eligible for the program must meet the following:

➡️ Resident of Columbus
➡️ Tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days
➡️ Employed for 20+ hours a week
➡️ Earns under 150% of the Federal Poverty Level (see chart below)
