Caterpillar acrobatics 🤸🏼 Has anyone noticed an increase in caterpillars in your gardens this year?

We had a great first autumn garden cleanup on Sept 19. Gardeners connected, shared knowledge and helping hands. Our next big cleanup day is Sat Nov 14. We’ll have trailers out to collect compost and leaf mulch will be available to add nutrients and reduce w**d pressure in our garden spaces. See you then 🍁

Mint. If left to its own devices…😂 Some plants are very sociable. What other plants do you notice this behavior in?

Special thanks to our regular volunteers (Rick, Adam, Lynn) and bonus volunteers from our amazing partnership with Compost Exchange this week! They edged, harvested, cleaned up garden beds to prepare for new gardeners next season.

Another 17 lbs of peppers, beans and tomatoes harvested and donated to the Worthington Resource Pantry today. With over 100,000 central Ohioans losing SNAP benefits, food pantries are busier than ever! We’re grateful to be able to use our community gardens to support our neighbors.

Ever wonder how monarch caterpillars transform into their chrysalis? Each photo is one hour apart. It takes approximately 10-14 days until they emerge as butterflies. Planting milkw**d is a great way to attract more butterflies!
