AKT Foundation We collect new, like new and gently used clothing and household items for families in need. New, in date non perishable food items are also accepted.

We are a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping women and children start over after Domestic Violence, Homelessness and extreme poverty by providing essential everyday items like food, clothing and furniture. We also collect NEW, unopened hygiene items, cleaning products and toys. We do not accept dirty, stained, overly worn or broken items. We do not accept used toys, books or personal care items. Here’s a big donation for a family in need! It’s for a grandmother who got emergency custody of her grandchildren. This donation includes toiletries, clothing, water, bottles, kitchen items, personal hygiene items, birthday gift gifts for her daughter, new socks, lotion, soap and deodorant, and tons of school supplies! Today was her daughter’s birthday and she was not able to do anything for her, so we are blessed to be able to help with that too! She’s been given balloons, decorations, and gifts. Along with all of this, the grandchildren have gotten lots of clothing, plus coats, gloves, and hats for the entire family. They’ve been going to school without backpacks and I’m thankful that she reached out for help.

We are super excited to announce we are NOW collecting for our annual Christmas Program!!! We are excited to be partnering with Brighter Days this year! Bonnie Keltz & Gwen Forlizzi have been working together for years & Bonnie has just launched Brighter Days! This means, together we will be able to execute an even BIGGER and BETTER program than ever before!!

An Amazon Wishlist and will be published by the end of the week!

Donations of NEW toys, gift cards, and gifts for ages newborn through 18, can be dropped off at several locations throughout the area, including Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg and Carlisle. Please message us for drop off information.

Details regarding registration, distribution, sponsorships & more, will be coming soon!!
