It’s been a busy two days with this crazy crew at Showcase Showdown on the UW Campus in Laramie!

We’ve participated in a food cook-off, livestock skill-a-thon, produce judging, cake decorating, presentations, and so many other fun activities. It’s been a great experience filled with learning, teamwork, and lots of memories. We still have more adventures ahead tomorrow!

4-H Camp: The Best Three Days of Summer!

Three amazing days filled with memories, fun, learning, and new friendships! We were thrilled to welcome youth from Washakie, Park, Hot Springs, and Converse counties for an unforgettable camp experience. A huge thank you to all of the volunteers, counselors, leaders, and supporters who helped make this experience possible. Your time, energy, and dedication created lasting memories for our youth. We are grateful for everyone who made this year’s camp such a success, and we already can’t wait to do it all again next year!

🐄 Livestock Quality Assurance Deadline – June 30th 🐖

Livestock Quality Assurance is required for youth planning to sell in the livestock sale during fair.

2026 is a FLEX year, which means youth may attend any livestock educational opportunity to complete their requirement. After attending, fill out the required form, include what you learned, and have it signed before turning it in to the Extension Office.

📅 Deadline: June 30th

Be sure all paperwork is completed and submitted on time to remain eligible for the livestock sale at fair!

Horse practices will be held June 16, 23, 30 and July 7, 14, and possibly July 16 at the Washakie County Fairgrounds.

⏰ Please be ready to ride at 6:00 PM with your horse prepared and ready to go.

Ten Sleep practices will begin at the end of May — more details coming soon!

What a fun day of Showcase practice with youth from around the Northwest Area! From cake decorating and produce judging to livestock skill-a-thon, food cook-off, public speaking, and robotics, these kids stayed busy sharpening their skills and preparing for competition.

We had a great time learning, practicing, and having fun together. Be sure to follow along and cheer them on as they compete at Showcase Showdown in Laramie later this month!
