when a bike training session (i’m riding the PanMass Unpaved in October) turns into a session. From June St ~> Mill St Bike Lane ~> Main St ~> Worcester Memorial Auditorium ~> Joyner Lucas Avenue Rain Basins… 9 Miles, 5 shopping bags of into various WooBins around the city.

last saturday, we hit up the intersection of southbridge n southgate streets with our pals@in Sustainable Worcester & Strongtowns
together with 9 volunteers, we filled 28 bags with some weighing 290.5LBs in 2 hours.

next cleanup is Sunday 8/16 at 10am on Franklin Street.

set up at crompton park and did our thing with 7 volunteers helping fill 11 bags with 88.4LBs of in just under 2 hours.
stop down to the summer jam classic tomorrow and watch some of the best basketball you can watch in central mass, built by Anthony Bosa Barbosa for the city. 🫡

on 7/18, we partnered with worcester bike organizations to pickup and spruce up George St (very well) ahead of the George Street Bike Challenge & Festival on 7/26.
In 1 hr, 11 volunteers, filled 6 bags weighing 48.5LBs.
The George St Bike Challenge for Major Taylor is an annual uphill ride to conquer a 500 foot sprint up George St. George St is a 500ft, has a 18% grade, & was used my Major Taylor as their training ground.
Thank you to 7HW, Major Taylor Association, Landry's Bicycles, Major Taylor Association, Worcester Earn-A-Bike, Major Taylor Museum for partnering with us to pick-up very well again!

Stop by our table on 7/26 and talk trash/litter with us/to us.

did a quick kayaking run under the Kenneth F Burns bridge this morning. picked up 4.9Lbs in recycling & 3.7Lbs in trash/soft plastics of , very well, in about an hour.

this weekend’s cleanups 2 of 2

on saturday, with collaborated with our homies in Worcester Community Fridges to pick up some very well around the Brooks St/Greendale community refrigerator at 16 Brooks St and the neighboring streets and public ways.
together with 13 volunteers, we filled 21 trash bags weighing 223.9LBs, grabbed 4 tires, a bunch of random wood, and reached infinity good vibes.

on friday, we collaborated with our friends in Green Island Residents Group to pickup some very well up and down Lafayette St.
Together with 6 volunteers, we filled 11 trash bags, weighing 147.2LBs in 2 hours.

some biking leads to pliking
what started as an early morning Pan-Mass Challenge unpaved training session, lead to pliking up about 30 pieces of very well along the
Your standard plastic food and beverage containers type of litter. It was worth noting, no public trash cans available after the old candlepin bowling alley besides a couple at Logan field. Just one of those things that make you go hmmmm.
