Scenes from the pre-6AM part of our “Sit & Watch” party — with and the Boxborough Bird Club. What a chorus in the mist! We ended at noon with 69 species, enjoyed coffee and ate fruit and donuts. Glad to make this a tradition at the barn at Wolbach farm. Highlight moment was a quartet of buzzy flycatchers— least, Willow, great crested and an alder plus an Eastern Phoebe, baby phoebes and Eastern Kingbirds. It was great fun to talk with the earliest risers who started with us at 5am and those who popped in later in the day and share wild bird stories and photos. We’ll do it again next year! (Access improvements are in the works.) Thanks, SVT!!
