Habitat for Humanity in Wayne County

Thank you, Artiflex! The work poured into this event by so many people is truly amazing. A special thank-you to Frankie and Ariel, who carry such a huge share of the planning and hard work, and to their wonderful team!

We’re so grateful to Artiflex’s leadership for providing funding and support that goes far beyond dollars. Thank you for all you do to help Habitat build homes and hope in our community! 💙🏠

We’re proud to share that the 7th Annual ArtiFlex Car Show raised $6,500 for Habitat for Humanity of Wayne County, even with the rain!

We’re grateful to everyone who brought a car, came out, volunteered, or supported the event.

Take a look back at the day in our recap video: https://youtu.be/NOaLrhT6_EI

We look forward to seeing you next year!

The momentum is building! All year we have been collecting aluminum (cans, gutters, screen windows, siding, etc.). How much higher can we build the stack?

We are getting really close to our goal of 3,000 pounds by the end of October. Please consider helping us out. Every amount helps. You can drop items off at 2700 Akron Road in Wooster. If you have a large quantity of aluminum to donate, you can call (330) 264-4999 to coordinate a pickup.

Thank You Beef 'O' Brady's Wooster for feeding lunch to our faithful volunteers! Yesterday was "crane day" and they worked up a healthy appetite. The tacos were a hit and helped us get all the trusses up!!

If you looking for a great place to get lunch or dinner this week, stop by Beef 'O' Brady's. They will take great care of you and the food is excellent!

Doctor’s orders may be keeping Jim from swinging a hammer, but he’s still taking care of his Habitat team! On Tuesday, he treated us all to a delicious hot lunch that he cooked up! Delicious!🍲❤️

Thank you, Jim, for feeding us and finding another way to share your heart for Habitat. Take good care of yourself, we can’t wait to have you “back in the saddle” when the doctor gives you the all-clear! 🔨🏡

Yesterday our work crew enjoyed a wonderful meal from Five Guys! Don't let the name fool you, they can feed 12 hungry guys no problem. If you have been considering volunteering for Habitat, get involved and you too can enjoy a great meal from Five Guys. They are planning on doing this again soon.

Thank you Five Guys!! We appreciate their generosity and all you do for our community.

Where would we be without dear Nikki’s dedication and attention to detail?! She makes up for my organizing skills (lack thereof!) so perfectly, you’d think God planned it that way! ❤️

Thank you, Nikki, for always being ready and making everything feel welcoming. You even make the room look like people might actually WANT to attend a meeting!! 😊

On Saturday, September 19th, we partnered with Rails to Trails of Wayne County Ohio as we hosted the 1st Annual "Steps Towards Home" 5K/10K in Orrville.

This event truly was a team effort as so many individuals, businesses, and community members joined together to make a dream become reality.

Please take a few minutes to scroll through the pictures. There are so many that we want to thank and will do so with the individual pictures.

All pictures were taken by Grayson .

A good day for cleaning up our adopted stretch of Route 585! I’m so proud of our Habitat leadership team for stepping up and showing what servant leadership looks like. 💙

After today’s cleanup, we have an unofficial Top 4 Litter Offenders list:

#4: Flossers. Come on, folks, those little floss sticks aren’t even close to biodegradable!

#3: Lumber supply companies. We picked up plenty of stray Styrofoam and fiberglass pieces.

#2: Soda drinkers. Cups from convenience stores, cans, bottles…we found them all.

And the #1 offender is… 🥁

What’s your guess? Put it in the comments before we reveal it!

September 28 is National Good Neighbor Day, a meaningful reminder that strong communities are built when neighbors show up for one another.

At Habitat for Humanity in Wayne County, we see the power of good neighbors every day. Volunteers give their time, donors invest in local families, and community partners come together to help build safe, affordable homes right here in Wayne County.

Whether you volunteer on a build site, make a gift, support the ReStore, or simply share our mission with someone you know, you are helping create hope, stability, and opportunity for our neighbors.

This National Good Neighbor Day, we celebrate everyone who helps make Wayne County a stronger place to call home. Reach out to learn how you can get involved.
