The College of Wooster Alumni Association The College of Wooster Alumni Association College is a serious investment: four years and tens of thousands of dollars. Does that investment in Wooster pay off?

It has for our alumni. Some discover the seeds of a life’s work in their I.S. projects. Others change direction, even careers, more than once. But they all find that the skills they developed at Wooster — the ability to think critically and creatively, analyze and solve complex problems, and communicate clearly and persuasively — have equipped them to succeed in a wide variety of fields. Please join us in congratulating Courter Shimeall '06 on his appointment as U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Ohio. Previously, he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, following earlier service as a federal judicial law clerk.

Alexander Hopkins '16 has built a career in energy and climate policy, working on initiatives in Washington, D.C., leading sustainable energy efforts at UNC-Chapel Hill, and now serves as the Director of Grove Climate Group, where he advises organizations on decarbonization and energy transition strategies.

Join us in congratulating Alexander and the 2026 Scots Under 10 recipients during Homecoming Weekend, September 18–19. Honorees will attend a panel to share their journeys after Wooster, followed by an award ceremony recognizing their achievements.
