A Whole Community, Inc. ABOUT

A Whole Community, Inc. She experienced the positive impact that bringing together many people and agencies to work on complex issues can have.

is a Christian-based, non-profit organization with a vision to see individuals, families, and communities become healthy, whole, and vibrant financially, relationally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Karen Potter, AWC Founder and Executive Director, is a licensed social worked who worked for 10 years overseeing various community projects funded by a variety of funding sources (federal, s

tate, local, and private). One component of her job was overseeing Community Health Assessments and their corresponding strategic planning, first in Wayne County and then for Wayne, Holmes, and Ashland Counties in Ohio. Karen has a passion to lead, connect, and coordinate multi-sector, community projects, yet she is very aware that it takes "a whole community." As each community member or each agency contributes the small amount they are able to give (whether skills, knowledge, money, time, resources, etc.), it all comes together and creates the solution. All have something of value to share, while in return should receive something of value that meets their own needs. As "win-win" solutions are formed, all receive something positive in the experience.

AEP Ohio Foundation awarded A Whole Community, Inc. a $10,000 grant for our Community Food Project. Emma Lewis and Frank Baldwin came to visit our operation and present the check. We enjoyed showing them the impact of their donation. Many people have been blessed with farm-fresh produce thanks to the generosity of AEP Ohio Foundation.

Week 2 of farm-direct, recently-picked produce deliveries had AWC in Orrville and Rittman today. The Rittman community is pulling together since Sunday night's tragedy. We felt something extra today as we made our way to each delivery point in town. Much love and many prayers for Rittman in the days and weeks ahead. ❀️ ✝️ πŸ™ πŸ§…πŸ«‘πŸ…πŸŒ½

Happy 10th birthday to A Whole Community! We thank God for His favor and anointing upon us to do His work in this part of our world.
