Wayne County Children's Advocacy Center The Wayne County Children’s Advocacy Center, Inc. Members of the task force team help the child and family cope with the abuse and begin the recovery process.

We are a child-oriented facility that serves as a centralized location for interviewing and examining children who are victims of sexual abuse in Wayne, Holmes and Ashland County, OH. (WCCAC) is a child-oriented facility, which serves as a centralized location for interviewing and examining children who are victims of sexual abuse. The children are interviewed by specially trained forensic interviewers and medically examined by specially trained medical professionals in a child-friendly environment. The cases are managed by a multidisciplinary task force comprised of those interviewers, county prosecutors, law enforcement officers, mental health workers, victim advocates, medical professionals and clinical staff.

Meet the Board Monday- Jen Warden
"I have a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from The University of Akron. I’m Director of Marketing for Centerra Co-op – an agricultural cooperative headquartered in Ashland, Ohio and also serving on Wooster City Council."
What inspired you to join the board/want to work for the CAC?
"About nine years ago, I participated in Wooster’s Government Leadership Academy. During one of our presentations, Captain Tony Lemmon (former CAC board member) discussed the CAC’s mission and the important work being done by this tiny non-profit agency to help change the lives of kids in our community who have gone through things no child should ever have to experience. It significantly moved me and I submitted an application to join the board that same year."
What's something you wish people knew about the CAC?
"The CAC is not a government agency. We are funded primarily through grants and donations, and all of our services are provided free of charge. We rely on the kindness and generosity of our community members to continue our work."

"I am a Certified Public Accountant and serve as the Chief Audit Executive at The Gorman-Rupp Company headquartered in Mansfield, Ohio. Gorman-Rupp designs, manufactures, and sells pumps and related equipment for diverse applications worldwide."
What inspired you to join the board/want to work for the CAC?
"As a resident of Wayne County, and past resident of both Holmes and Ashland counties, the CAC’s mission and reach inspired me to join the board. I want to support the good work of the CAC, which is dedicated to helping those who need it most and fostering an environment in which young victims of abuse and trauma are heard."
On the weekends you can find Lyndsey "Traveling with my family, hiking, and riding my motorcycle."

"I am the Lead Designer for Weaver Custom Homes for the last 16 years. I have lived in Wooster for over 30 years. I am married to TJ and have two wonderful kids, Thomas Mason & Maddi. We live on a farm with many animals."
"My friend Jen Warden introduced me to the organization. I was mostly inspired by a loved one that came back into my life. She was abused when we were young and told me how she is still affected by what happened. This made me wish a CAC would have been around to help her then, maybe she wouldn't be hurting as much now!"
