“Some of my favorite memories are when “my OHuddle kids” want to hang out with my own kids, whether it be the fair, track meet, or if my oldest son is scheduled to mentor at the school. There is something about “just doing life” with them that makes the kids feel seen, heard, loved. They seem to love hanging in my office or hanging out for hours with me at the fair. Coming to ask questions on how to ask a girl out or to homecoming or walk through something that is hard with school- the way we show up in their huddle is life changing. I see this every day and am so thankful to get to be a part of this. Lastly, the picture with the teacher who was so incredibly grateful for flowers. He said, I havent got flowers in 25+ years. Just like mentorship, I truly think the OHuddle Hours self care sessions help bridge the gap. ❤️
