🚨 Another Day. Another Emergency. 🚨
Today, we took in 12 cats that were removed from extremely unsanitary living conditions. Among them are kittens as young as 3 weeks old.
This intake comes at a time when we are already beyond our limits.
Right now, we have over 220 cats in our care between the shelter and foster homes. Our comfortable capacity is 86 cats, and even when every single kennel is full, our maximum capacity is 128. We are caring for nearly double that number.
Every intake like today’s is a reminder of why we desperately need our community’s help.
Think of the shelter during kitten season like an emergency room. Every animal matters, but the most critical cases have to come first. That means there may be times when we have to ask others to wait—not because we don’t care, but because we simply don’t have the space or resources at that moment.
These 12 cats now need:
🐾 Veterinary care
🐾 Vaccinations and medications
🐾 Food and litter
🐾 Cleaning supplies
🐾 Safe, comfortable housing
🐾 Around-the-clock care for the youngest kittens
