Scouts BSA Troop 222 Woonsocket, RI Life Scout Maja Pisarek met with a potential beneficiary for her Eagle project today. She has some really great ideas for the project and the beneficiary is very excited to assist wherever needed. Maja will be Troop 222's first Eagle Scout once she finishes completing her required merit badges, her project and passes her Eagle Board of review. Let's all please wish her the luck and well wishes she will need to get this done in the near future. GO MAJA!

Four years ago today at a car wash fundraiser for Troop 2s Philmont Crew, a young girl named Maja Pisarek asked me, "Why don't we have a girl troop now that girls can join?"

Three and a half years later, Scouts BSA Troop 222 in Woonsocket, RI, is 17 scouts strong. That same young lady is now our Junior Assistant Scoutmaster and is working toward her goal of becoming Woonsocket’s first female Eagle Scout.

I am incredibly proud to serve as the Scoutmaster for this group of amazing young women, and I look forward to seeing the troop continue to grow and succeed

Members of Scouting America's Troop 222, Troop 2 and the Explorers Unit performed the flag folding ceremony at today's Memorial Day service in Woonsocket with Troop 2 Scoutmaster Mike Heroux reading the script. Great job Scouts!

It's (every other) Thursday! That means a nice hot bowl of soup and/or a grilled cheese day at Post 85. Today's soup is Loaded Baked Potato soup. $3 for soup or sandwich and $5 for both! Come on down between 10:30-1. Also available to go.
