We want to thank the generous donor who sent us 4 large dog cages/crates from Chewy this week. These cages help with our transport of dogs from the Patrick County Public Animal Shelter to shelters and rescues who are able to give them the time and resources they need to find their forever home. Without cages, these transports can't happen and this past week was a record transport for us, giving 8 dogs the freedom ride they so desperately deserved. If you would like to donate a cage to enable us to continue this great work, we have added them to our wish list at Chewy.

FREE SERVICES FOR COMMUNITY CATS IN PATRICK COUNTY

For cats born outdoors, the outside world isn’t something to escape—it’s home. And when a colony is cared for through TNR (trap-neuter-return), those cats can live healthy, stable lives right where they are—on their terms. 💛
Research shows that community cats in managed colonies are often just as healthy as indoor pets. Once they’re fixed, everything improves—less roaming, less fighting, better overall health, and colonies naturally stabilize over time. 🐈‍⬛

Are you feeding outside cats and need help preventing unwanted litters of kittens?

BRAWL is the recipient of a grant from United Spay Alliance to offer free spay/neuter services to community cats in Patrick County. Cats selected for this program will receive a spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, ear-tip, and a one-month flea treatment at no cost to the caretaker. If you are interested in this service, please complete the spay/neuter inquiry form below and someone will contact you. Note: you must be willing to bring the cat in a trap or carrier to Rotary Field in Stuart on the designated surgery day.

Freedom Ride! A great big thank you to AugustaDog Adoptions for rescuing so many wonderful dogs today, Special thanks to Clover Cat Rescue for the use of their van, and Anna Clark Lester for driving. Thanks to BRAWL volunteers Lynn Chipkin, Tracey Wegner Eberhardt and Carl, for helping to organize and load up, Kate Glass, and Dana Bailey Jones for use of their crates. Team work!
