There are still 3 of the original 10 Redbone Coonhound mixes looking for a forever home. This 10 month old male, we are calling Buster Brown (8-20-3) has come so far in his 7 weeks at the shelter. Originally he cowered in his cage and wanted nothing to do with human touch, but just look at him now! He’s so lovable and goofy! If you’d like to adopt him, please visit the Patrick County Public Animal Shelter or call 276-694-6259. Because he is not yet neutered, adopters must reside in Patrick, Floyd, Henry, Carroll, or Franklin County, VA per state code.

Sending out a big BRAWL thank you to all of the supporters who donated Kongs and other supplies from our Chewy wishlist! Our CFO (Chief Feline Officer) Coraline has counted 22 new Kongs which will replace some of our worn out Kongs and ensure that there are enough for all the dogs at the shelter. Our Kong program provides vital enrichment to dogs at the Patrick County Public Animal Shelter while they wait for their forever home.
