We still can’t believe a dog this nice is still waiting for her forever home. Dahlia is the most playful dog currently at the shelter. Shes so happy-go-lucky but she’s been here too long. No dog should have to spend their puppyhood in a cage 23 hours a day. If you have room in your heart and home, please consider adopting this girl from the Patrick County Public Animal Shelter. Isn’t she lovely! This petite Pit Bull/Whippet mix (our best guess) is approximately 9 months old and so smart. She will sit for a treat without asking. We are calling her Pippi. If you think she’d be a good fit for your household, please visit the Patrick County Public Animal Shelter. She was surrendered with Penny and Winston. The shelter is currently at maximum capacity and desperately needs adopters.

We are calling this sweet young male Winston (8-25-1). He is such a sweetheart and is perfectly content sitting next to you and staring at you with those soulful puppy dog eyes. Everyone say hello to Tank (8-20-1), a 1 year old Redbone hound mix from the group of 10 owner surrenders. He may quite possibly be the dad to several of the puppies. Frankie (8-21-7) is a young female German Shepherd that was surrendered with River (8-21-8). She has been seen by a vet due to her being underweight and she is on a medical regimen for treating hookworms and a slow feeding protocol to help her gain weight. This will need to be strictly maintained by her adopter as well as a follow-up with a vet.
