🚨TERRIFYING fact check: New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani says America should follow the example of Prophet Muhammad on migration — the same Prophet who expelled Jews and Christians from Mecca after conquering it.

In a recent speech, Mamdani stated: “I consider my own faith, Islam, a religion built upon a narrative of migration. The story of the Hijrah reminds us that Prophet Muhammad was a stranger too. He fled Mecca and was welcomed in Medina.”

He also referenced Islamic scripture, saying the Quran teaches that those who migrate after persecution will be blessed with a good home, and cited a hadith:

“Islam began as something strange and will go back to being strange, so glad tidings to the strangers.”

Historical records show that in 630 AD, after the conquest of Mecca, Prophet Muhammad ordered the expulsion of Jews and Christians from the city and banned non-Muslims from entering it permanently.

To this day, non-Muslims are strictly prohibited from entering Mecca, as they are considered impure under Islamic doctrine.

Mamdani has framed this history as a positive model for American immigration policy while serving as mayor of the largest city in the United States.

New Yorkers and Americans deserve leaders who defend the Constitution — not those who import foreign religious models that treat non-believers as second-class or impure.

Thursday, July 23 is VA ONLY, 12:00 to 4:00 PM: That day is specifically for Veterans to enroll in VA healthcare through the 1010 VHA Enrollment Event and to work directly with claims specialists on-site. If you have been putting that off, this is the day built for exactly that.

Friday, July 24 brings something for everyone, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Over 100 community partners will be there. Veterans, Service Members and Spouses can connect with health and wellness screenings and employment resources. Getting ready to transition? Start building a plan. Kids have their own space to play and learn all day at no cost (adult supervision required). Veterans can continue with VA health enrollment, benefits claims, and medical exams. Survivors and Caregivers - we also have amazing resources available for you.

This year, Regiment will be on-site Friday for 1-on-1 gaming with Veterans and Military community members. Regiment is America's largest Military gaming community and this is a real chance to connect with them in person.

We will also have food trucks on site with snacks and meals available for purchase (Friday only). This is the ONLY part of the event with a cost. Come prepared with cash and credit card! All other on-site services, admission, and parking are FREE.
