We loved having Olivia Strosnider and Jocelyn Combs join us at Rotary this week to share about their experience at RYLA.

They spoke about everything they learned through the program, from leadership and teamwork to building confidence and new friendships. It was great hearing how much this opportunity meant to them.

We were grateful for the opportunity to be part of The Rotary Club of Woodstock VA's 19th Annual Shrimp & Catfish Dinner through a table display highlighting Blue Ridge CASA.

Each table at this longstanding community event features a local nonprofit, and we appreciated the chance to share our mission and connect with the community in this way.

Rotary Club of Woodstock learned about a global fight against modern slavery this week.

Our guest speaker, Amelia Stansell, introduced Rotary Action Group Against Slavery, known as RAGAS. The group works with Rotary clubs across the world to prevent human trafficking, support survivors, and push for stronger policies and awareness.

Human trafficking affects an estimated 50 million people worldwide according to the International Labour Organization. That number includes forced labor, sexual exploitation, and forced marriage. Rotary clubs in many countries support local prevention programs, survivor services, and education efforts through RAGAS.

Amelia shared how Rotarians take action through partnerships, training, and community awareness. The goal stays simple. Stop exploitation and protect human freedom.
