We are thrilled to share that you - our friends, neighbors, sponsors, and community near and far - raised $505,000 (and counting!) at Barndance 2026! πŸ₯°β˜ΊοΈπŸ₯³ Thank you doesn't seem to do it justice, so please know that we are deeply grateful to every single person who made this year's event a success. For the first time in Barndance history, the Bucket Raffle ran out of something important this year: tickets.

By the end of the night, every raffle ticket had been sold, raising approximately $22,000 to support the fight against cancer.

Behind that success were donated prizes, volunteers, generous guestsβ€”and a lot of spreadsheets.

For Bucket Raffle co-chair Margie Kersten, that’s part of what makes Gavers special. You don’t need a flashy talent or a particular kind of experience to make a difference. You simply bring the skills you have and put them to work.

β€œWherever you have a skillset or a gift, we’ll use it,” Margie said.

The Rotary Club of Woodstock is a wonderful organization and full of amazing people! Thank you so much for your partnership and work in our community!

πŸ€ πŸ’™ Serving Our Community is our Duty "πŸ’™πŸ€
Last Saturday, members of the Rotary Club of Woodstock were proud to volunteer at the annual Gavers Community Cancer Foundation Barn Dance!
In addition to sponsoring the porta potty, many of our Rotarians spent the evening volunteering to help make this beloved community event a success. From pitching in wherever needed to enjoying time together, it was a great night of service, fellowship, and fun.
Thank you to everyone who helped make Gaver's Barn Dance another fantastic event. We love finding creative (and sometimes humorous!) ways to support our community.

Fun Rotary Fact: One of Rotary's very first community service projects in 1907 helped bring public restroomsβ€”then called "comfort stations"β€”to downtown Chicago. More than a century later, we're still proud to support our community... one restroom at a time! πŸš½πŸ’™πŸ’› Service Above Self... even when it comes to the little necessities!
