As of January 2, 2013, the Good Neighbor Food Pantry of Woodstockl offers afternoon shopping hours. PANTRY SCHEDULES:
o Wednesday afternoons from 11.00 am. 3.00PM
o Thursdays the pantry will open from 11. Am11.00 am.to 300 PM

The Good Neighbor Food Pantry provides free healthy groceries

to about 2,200 people monthly. The food we give offers families and individuals an opportunity to prepare meals in their homes. A special effort is made to include healthy foods for the homeless who have special needs as they have no cooking or food storage facilities. We offer dignity and a sense of community to all who visit us.

The Pantry is open to volunteers on Tuesdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon to stock the shelves. Anyone wishing to help stock shelves is invited to come to the Pantry at the Woodstock Reformed Church Tuesday mornings. A short training class for the volunteers is held each Tuesday at the end of the shelf stocking.

This is no longer the Good Neighbor, Food Pantry website. It will be taken down very soon so you’re gonna have to call the phone number of the pantry and I think it’s 5543. There’s last four.

A wonderful front page article in the Daily Freeman today about the Woodstock 94 celebration held yesterday at Cantine Field.

Thanks for all the musicians, MC, vendors and volunteers that made this such a wonderful event. A special thank you to the Parks Department for being such a help and Vince Buono for putting up the tent. And a special thanks to the Committee volunteers who helped so much Saturday including Paul Andreassen, Lucy Swensen, Peggy Schwartz, Jeannine Mayer, Joe Defino and Carol Spirig.

We appreciate the efforts of the Town, Fred Costello, the Community Foundation of Saugerties and Marge Block for helping to create the whole event. And of course the Saugerties Chamber of Commerce for spearheading all the Woodstock 94 Celebration activities.

This is a Good Neighbor, Food Pantry. I guess they went and got food for themselves and it looks like they stocked up. There’s more food than what was there. And I was told it was cleaned up mopped and cleaned up the whole place. Well, let’s hope it works out for them.
