Our friends at the McHenry County Youth Sports Association are making final preparations for their 2026 international baseball tournaments, and we're excited to see our Woodstock Heat 11U Blue, 13U, and 15U teams participate!
Right now, MCYSA is looking for two host families willing to host two 13-year-old players from Brazil from July 9–15.
If you've never hosted before, we encourage you to consider it. Families who have participated consistently describe it as an unforgettable experience. Several Woodstock families are already looking forward to reconnecting with players they've hosted in previous years, and the friendships that are formed often last long after the tournament ends.
Hosting provides a unique opportunity to:
✅ Share your love of baseball
✅ Experience a different culture
✅ Build lifelong friendships
✅ Create memories your family will never forget
Host families also receive a daily stipend, and players from host families have the opportunity to apply for a college scholarship as seniors.
Most importantly, you'll be helping provide a life-changing experience for a young athlete while creating one for your own family as well.
