We couldn’t be more proud of our very own Shenandoah County Girl Scouts representing Troop 14119! If you’re looking to get your girl involved in community projects, reach out to us today!! 💚

A Wonderful New Addition to Strasburg Town Park!

We are excited to celebrate the installation of the new Playground Communication Board at Strasburg Town Park, a special project made possible through a partnership between the Town of Strasburg and Girl Scout Troop 14119!

Girl Scouts Emsley and Madalen brought this project forward with a wonderful goal: making our park more welcoming and inclusive for everyone. The Communication Board uses words, pictures, and symbols to help children and adults who are nonverbal or have limited verbal communication express their needs, feelings, and ideas while enjoying the park.

Even more exciting, Emsley and Madalen earned their Girl Scout Silver Awards through their work on this meaningful project! The Silver Award is an incredible accomplishment that recognizes Girl Scouts who identify a need in their community and take action to make a lasting difference.

The Town was proud to partner with Troop 14119 to help bring their vision to life. Projects like this are a great reminder of what can happen when young people, community organizations, and local government work together.

Congratulations, Emsley and Madalen, and thank you to Girl Scout Troop 14119 for helping make Strasburg Town Park a place where everyone can play, communicate, and feel included! 💚

“In a world where you can be anything, be inclusive.”

Today we celebrate Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience, achievements, and contributions of Black Americans throughout history.

As Girl Scouts, we are committed to building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Juneteenth reminds us of the importance of freedom, equality, service, and learning from our shared history.

We encourage our Girl Scouts and families to take time today to reflect, learn, celebrate, and support our communities.

Happy Juneteenth!!
