Meet Our Summer Team:
Bobby, Jacey, Maddi, and Taj aren’t just counselors—these young adults have been part of Venture Free for a decade or more, growing from curious campers to dedicated leaders. Over the years, they’ve volunteered across our programs, developing outdoor skills, mentoring younger participants, and working side-by-side with staff to deepen their experience.

By stepping into these leadership roles, our alumni are continuing our core commitment to peer-to-peer learning. There’s something powerful about being guided by someone who once stood exactly where your child is now. That kind of mentorship fosters trust, connection, and joy, and reminds us of the lasting impact we can have on each other.

Last week, we hosted another 4th grade outdoor education trip in Pinnacles National Park!
These students had the chance to rock climb, explore caves, and spot condors!. They also learned essential outdoor skills like safely chopping wood and starting fires with flint and steel!
We’re so grateful to for letting us take these young adventurers outside!
