Linda's Feral Cat Assistance

Linda's Feral Cat Assistance Our immediate goal is to TNR as many feral cats as possible to control NYC's feral cat population. We do take cats and kittens from ACC and the streets.

We are dedicated to Trap, Neuter and Return of Feral and Stray cats in NYC. Most of the kittens that enter Animal Care & Control (ACC) are the result of the mating of unaltered feral cats. We are no-kill, all-volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization. We are a member of the Mayor's Alliance and a New Hope Partner with the New York Animal Care & Control (ACC). All of our adoptable cats and kit

tens are social and have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated and spayed or neutered. In compliance with the TNR mandate, any animal that is captured and released is assured of shelter, food and monitoring on a daily basis by the LFCA volunteers and are provided with medical treatment whenever required. Linda Bryant is certified in the TNR program by Neighborhood Cats and the ASPCA. Our not-for-profit organization is dedicated to care and protect these abandoned, feral and stray cats. We hope to reduce over population and disease by preventing the birth of unwanted litters through TNR (Trap/Spay/Neuter/Release). Once neutered the cats are returned to their outside homes, where we can monitor their health and make sure they have shelter and food.

Every animal on this planet wants the same things we do. Safety. Freedom. Family. A chance to live without fear.

Sometimes we forget that.

We build cities, industries, and systems that treat animals like they are here for us instead of with us. But the truth is simple. This Earth was never made for humans alone. Every elephant, bird, whale, cow, dog, deer, and wild creature has a place here just as much as we do.

Look into an elephant’s eyes long enough and you stop seeing “wildlife.” You see emotion. Memory. Intelligence. You see a living soul that feels pain, loss, love, and fear.

That changes something inside you.

The strongest people are not the ones who dominate the weak. The strongest people are the ones who protect life when they have the power not to care.

We cannot call ourselves compassionate while ignoring suffering. We cannot say we love nature while destroying the beings that make it beautiful.

Animals are not decorations for the world. They are part of it. They belong here. Their lives matter beyond what they can give humans.

Maybe kindness starts with remembering one simple truth:

We are not above them. We are beside them.

They did not choose this war.

They did not choose the mud beneath their hooves. The cold. The hunger. The fear. They were simply there beside humans… and went wherever they were led.

A horse does not know why this fight exists. It does not understand borders, orders, or reasons. It understands only one thing — to pull, to move, not to stop. Even when there is no strength left.

And beside him… another one. One who will never rise again.

Lying in the mud, in a silence no one will notice. No heroic words. No medals. No monuments.

Just another life that gave everything… without ever knowing why.

We are used to speaking about heroes. About courage. About sacrifice. But we rarely remember those who had no choice.

Those who trusted humans until their very last breath.

Those eyes — they hold no hatred. They do not accuse. They are simply tired.

And in that exhaustion — the whole truth.

The truth about how easily trust can be broken… and how hard it is to earn.

They stood beside us in the darkest times. Carried not only weight, but also our mistakes.

And even then — they did not betray us.

Maybe that’s why we must remember.

Not only the war.

But the responsibility.

Because real strength is not in using…

But in protecting.

And perhaps the least we can do now is not forget those who silently gave everything.

Without ever having a voice.
