The 24th Anniversary East Bay Hills Trails Benefit is a volunteer-supported 5-day hike through the East Bay Hills, sharing 3 campsites and meals with a simultaneous 6-day horseback ride covering similar trails. Thanks largely to the hundreds of volunteers who have helped make this possible since 2002, the event has raised over $515,000 to suppport Volunteers for Outdoor California, the Bay Area Ridge Trail, EBRPD's Ivan Dickson Volunteer Trail Maintenance Program and other local trail improvement efforts.

Volunteers can sign up for single task, for several tasks on the same day, or for mulitple tasks on several days. Volunteers who are in camp when meals are served can join those meals, and multi-day volunteers can camp out with us.
