🐾 Shelter Myth Monday 🐾

MYTH: “If no one adopted them yet, something must be wrong with them.”
FACT: Timing is everything in shelters, not just personality.

Some animals get adopted quickly simply because they were seen first, looked familiar, or happened to match someone’s exact preference. Others who are equally loving, playful, and well-behaved may be overlooked due to color, size, age, or breed stereotypes.
Being overlooked is not the same as being unworthy. Many of the best furever friends are the ones who just haven’t met their person yet. The right match isn’t about being chosen first; it’s about being chosen right.

Rocket came to us from the pound as a stray. He weighs around 55 pounds. He is Lyme positive and has undergone treatment. He is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves attention. When getting pets, Rocket will be sure to tell you he is enjoying it with the huffs and snuffling noises he makes! He is well-behaved, patient, and watchful of his surroundings.
