We are hosting two Red Arrow Connect events designed specifically for our community. These evenings are a relaxed opportunity to meet fellow Red Arrow parents, connect with returning campers, spend time with our directors, and ask questions about the upcoming summer. Whether this is your first summer or your fifth, these gatherings are a wonderful way to strengthen our community before Opening Day.

Today, as families and friends gather around tables across the country, we’re reminded of one of the most meaningful lessons ever shared on Trout Lake—spoken by our late owner and Director, Bob Krohn.

In his Chapel Talk “No Man Is an Island,” Bob wrote:

“No man is an island… no man stands alone. Each man’s joy is joy to me; each man’s grief is my own… We need one another.”

At camp, this truth shows up in countless quiet ways—

A counselor coaching a boy up Popes Hill.

Cabin mates carrying a little extra so everyone finishes the portage.

A staff member giving encouragement so another camper can make their Island Swim.

A whole community rallying when someone needs help.

Thanksgiving is a moment to step back and see how deeply connected we really are.

How much stronger we become because we don’t stand alone.

And how the joy and growth of one boy lifts us all.

From our Red Arrow family to yours, thank you for being part of this community, for supporting one another, and for passing forward the spirit Bob instilled in generations of campers.

Wishing you a warm, grateful, and connected Thanksgiving.

More “we,” less “me.”

We are thrilled to announce our new Executive Director, Rich Pruszynski. Rich brings decades of coaching and teaching experience to the job.

Rich will begin his duties on December 1st, 2025. In the meantime, McKenzie Beeby continues to provide excellent interim leadership to Red Arrow.
