We are THRILLED by American Girl’s 2027 Girl of the Year™ announcement! ❤️🌲 If you know a bit of Red Pine history, then you probably know why!

American Girl creator Pleasant Rowland was a Red Pine girl herself and spent summers right here on Clear Lake. Those camp memories later inspired Molly Saves the Day, sending Molly McIntire on her own summer camp adventure. Now, Wisconsin-native Daisy Davenport™ is keeping the tradition alive with a summer at Camp Gowonagin- the very same fictional camp from Molly’s story. It’s so special seeing that Red Pine camp magic continue to inspire new generations of stories! ✨

At Red Pine, several of the traditions that Daisy and Molly experience such as Capture the Flag, s’mores and guitar-playing by the campfire, and activities such as canoeing and soccer live on each summer. We even had American Girl day as a Sunday program last summer where our campers modeled their own dream doll. 🛶⚽️🏕️
