The Rotary Club of Woodland The Rotary Club of Woodland is the original Rotary club in Woodland, founded in 1926. We are celebrating our 100th anniversary in 2026!

Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. In more than 160 countries worldwide, approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 30,000 Rotary clubs. Rotary club membership represents a cross-section of the community's business and professional men and women. The world's Rotary clubs meet weekly and are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. The main objective of Rotary is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today's most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. They also support programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development. The Rotary motto is Service Above Self.

💚 What a way to wrap up September! 💙

Team Woodland Rotary showed up in full force today for NAMI Yolo County' NAMIWalks at Woodland Community College—and we’re proud to say we didn’t just meet our fundraising goal for NAMI Yolo… we beat it! 🎉

A huge thank you to our Rotarians, friends and supporters who walked, donated and helped champion NAMI Yolo’s important work supporting mental health in our community.

This is what creating lasting impact looks like. 💛💙

What a day, Woodland! 💙💛

Yesterday's Annual Woodland Rotary Senior BBQ was one for the record books as we had the privilege of serving 375 local seniors — one of our biggest turnout yet!

The weather couldn’t have been better, the BBQ was cooking, the music was playing, and everywhere you looked, Rotarians were doing what Rotarians do best: rolling up their sleeves and putting Service Above Self into action.

A HUGE thank you to the community partners who help make this special Woodland tradition possible year after year:

What a day, Woodland! 💙💛

💚💙 Woodland Rotary is walking for mental health. JOIN US IN SUPPORTING NAMI YOLO! 👟

On Saturday, September 26, Team Woodland Rotary will be lacing up our walking shoes and joining NAMI Yolo County for NAMIWalks 2026 — a morning dedicated to hope, community, and supporting NAMI’s mission so no one has to face mental health challenges alone.

Want to support NAMI Yolo but won’t be able to make the walk?

Our Rotary team is happy to walk the walk on your behalf! 💙💛💚

Every donation to Team Woodland Rotary supports NAMI’s work providing mental health education, advocacy, resources, and support right here in our community.

Service has kept our Rotarians busy —and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

From "serving" above self at the Rotary B**r Booth during the Yolo County Fair, to supporting the Salvation Army Child Spree, our members have enjoyed plenty of opportunities to serve together and strengthen our community.

A few Rotarians even “chipped” in with the Woodland Tree Foundation by spreading mulch—and, of course, our weekly Meals on Wheels deliveries continue throughout Woodland.

As the Rotary Club of Woodland celebrates 100 years of service, we are working toward completing 101 Acts of Service. Every act—big or small—can make a lasting difference, and we would love to hear from you!

We were honored to welcome Rotary District 5160 Governor Woody Fridae to the Rotary Club of Woodland this past week!

Governor Woody shared updates from Rotary International, brought us the latest news and events from across Rotary District 5160 and challenged our club in service by supporting the remarkable LN-4 Hand Project, which provides free prosthetic hands to people in need around the world.

He also recognized two Rotarians for their service, including Angela Lynn for her behind-the-scenes support of our club and legacy Rotarian Don Huff III, who received an additional Paul Harris Fellow pin in recognition of his continued support of The Rotary Foundation.

Thank you, Governor Woody, for joining us and reminding us of the difference Rotarians can make—both here at home and around the world. Now, let's set out to Create Lasting Impact!
