The Rotary Club of Woodland

The Rotary Club of Woodland The Rotary Club of Woodland is the original Rotary club in Woodland, founded in 1926. We are celebrating our 100th anniversary in 2026!

Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. In more than 160 countries worldwide, approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 30,000 Rotary clubs. Rotary club membership represents a cross-section of the community's bus

iness and professional men and women. The world's Rotary clubs meet weekly and are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. The main objective of Rotary is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today's most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. They also support programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development. The Rotary motto is Service Above Self.

Today and every day, we honor those who have served our country — past and present.

Their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to something greater than themselves continue to protect the freedoms we cherish.

This Memorial Day, the Rotary Club of Woodland remembers, honors, and thanks all who have served.

One hundred years ago… it all started with seventeen.

On April 29, 1926, seventeen local leaders came together to form what would become the Rotary Club of Woodland—committed to service, leadership, and investment in our community.

From those first signatures to today, Rotary in Woodland has grown to a total of three Rotary Clubs; the original Rotary Club of Woodland (Noon), Woodland Luna Vista Rotary Club (Evening), Woodland Sunrise Rotary Club (Morning) —each continuing a legacy of showing up, stepping in, and investing in this community.

A century later, that same spirit is still at work in Woodland.

Still serving.
Still building.
Still showing up.

And now, as the Rotary Clubs of Woodland celebrate 100 years—with the support of our sponsors and community—we’re not just looking back. We’re creating something that will carry Woodland forward for generations to come through our Centennial Project: the Rotary Stage at the Woodland Opera House Intermission Garden.

🎟 Join us as we celebrate the past, present, and future of Woodland Rotary—and support the Centennial Project. You won’t want to miss it!

The Rotary Club of Woodland was proud to present a check to Jewelia Flores, Program Manager and Jerry Delsol, Advisory Board with the Yolo Farm to Fork today, supporting their work connecting local farms, schools, and communities through healthy food and education. 👏

These funds were made possible by proceeds from our 2025 Annual Dinner—proof that when our community comes together, meaningful impact follows.

Supporting nonprofits like Yolo Farm to Fork is central to Rotary’s long-standing commitment to service and community investment.
