Yolo Farm to Fork

Yolo Farm to Fork We support edible learning gardens, garden- and farm-based education, and local, farm-fresh produce.

Yolo Farm to Fork is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has been on the leading edge of the Farm-to-Fork and Farm-to-School movements before they were trendy! We support edible school gardens and provide garden-centered and farm-based education to students. We are dedicated to bringing locally grown farm-fresh food to school meals and to reducing waste through recycling and composting.

We strive to teach children how their food choices are intimately connected to their health, community, and environment.

Today is ! 🐛

We have the goal of raising $5,000 to support our field trip program. Thanks to our amazing community, we’ve already raised $578!

If you donate today, you are helping students from local schools visit our farms for FREE and receive an amazing hands on experience of cooking farm fresh meals, planting seasonal crops, and learning about local pollinators.

If you love the work we do and want to help support our mission. Donate today with the link in our bio.

Thank you 🌱

The garden clubs with WJUSD ELOP Program have started! 2nd grade students join me and we learned about different parts of a plant with a mixture of winter veggies from the farm/ school gardens.

They had to identify which parts of the plant they were and then we tasted them! The kumquats were a student favorite along with the beets 🫜

🌱 Farm update!
So much is growing!! Snap peas, garlic, broccoli, lettuce, kale, arugula, beets, parsley, and winter flowers 🌺
We harvested and trellised pineapple guava, snap peas, and snapdragons, all headed to local schools so students can take fresh produce home while learning where their food comes from.

Thanks to our lovely interns for the help 😊
