We're so proud to see both Mosaic West Sac and Davis Forest School in this year's Sacramento Venture Philanthropy Fast Pitch Cohort!

Both organizations recently went through our Yolo NEON (Nonprofit Excellence & Operations Network), our capacity-building program for Yolo County nonprofits. They came out with stronger systems in place, more room to focus on strategic growth, and authentic relationships with their peers who understand the challenges and rewards that come with nonprofit leadership.

They are well-positioned to sharpen their story with SVP's experts and take the stage at the November Showcase.

Meet the 2026 SVP Fast Pitch Cohort!

This year, 16 nonprofits from across the Sacramento region are stepping into the Fast Pitch program to strengthen their stories, expand their networks, and build momentum for the work they're leading in our community.

Over the next several months, they'll work alongside coaches, mentors, and fellow changemakers as they prepare for the Fast Pitch Showcase. It all begins at our Kickoff Party on August 26th!

What a wonderful evening! YCF was honored to be invited to the 1883 Clarksburg Schoolhouse for a volunteer appreciation event, where we had the chance to tour the community and learn about the incredible work happening through their local nonprofits. We also got an update on how our Yolo NEON program supported them.

A big thank you to Mike and Jeremy for the warm welcome. It's inspiring to see such dedicated community stewardship in Clarksburg! 🌟

Our team visited Ujamaa Farmer Collective to learn about their future plans! We were inspired by their mission and loved hearing how participating in the Yolo NEON program supported their operations. Plus we enjoyed a beautiful watermelon in the shade after touring the farm. Thank you Nathaniel for the tour!

YCF is pleased to announce the nonprofit organizations who will be the recipients of the inaugural grant cycle for the Wide Wide World Fund. The Fund is a legacy fund established by Margaret (Maggie) Burns and Roy Bellhorn to expand educational and cultural opportunities for students in Winters schools.

Congratulations to , , Putah Creek Council, and Historical Society of Winters on being the first grantees of the Wide Wide World Fund! We look forward to seeing your projects come to life over the next year!

We had such a great time celebrating our Yolo Youth Service Award (YoYoSa) recipients this week at Veterans Memorial Center in Davis! The YoYoSa scholarship is awarded to students who volunteer at least 60 hours during their Junior and Senior years of high school and must be nominated by the nonprofit they served to be considered. To date over 50 students have received the YoYoSa Scholarship.

This year YCF was able to award 3 very deserving students for their commitment to volunteering their time within the local nonprofit sector. Jazmin, Isabella, and Abigail volunteered with local nonprofits Davis Media Access, Yolo Food Bank, and the Woodland Memorial Hospital.

Join us in celebrating these amazing students who exemplify the best of Yolo County through their volunteerism!
