Today marks the last R.E.D. Friday of the Month of the Military Child ❤️🇺🇸

To the children of the deployed…
our little warriors…

We see you.
We honor you.
We carry your stories even when others don’t.

You didn’t choose this life—
the long nights, the missed birthdays, the empty seats at school events…
but you show up with strength most adults couldn’t carry.

And that matters.

Today was supposed to be an ice cream social just for you.
A small moment of joy. A reminder that your sacrifices are not invisible.

But it didn’t happen.

Not because you aren’t worthy…
but because sometimes support is louder in words than it is in action.

And that’s the hard truth.

Still—hear this clearly:
YOU are not forgotten.
Not today. Not ever.

Because even when the room is quiet…
even when the help doesn’t come…
we will continue to stand for you.

We will continue to show up.
We will continue to fight for your smiles.
We will continue to remind the world that behind every hero…
is a child being just as brave.

It is a sobering reality that while most of us go about our daily routines, the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard continue to stand the watch without a paycheck. For over 40 days, these service members have maintained their vital missions—conducting daring search and rescue operations, patrolling our borders, and securing maritime commerce—all while facing the personal strain of an unfunded government. Their unwavering commitment during this funding lapse is a testament to the "Semper Paratus" (Always Ready) spirit, proving that their dedication to country outweighs any political or financial uncertainty. Today, we owe them not just our remembrance, but our deepest gratitude for their selfless service under such extraordinary pressure.
