This beautiful pair of male Rottweilers was dropped off at our facility this week. Rex, two years old, and Red, six years old, were a broken record story. Red, bought from a backyard breeder in LA, bred to the buyers female, and then a male puppy kept (Rex). (Now, a broken home, a divorce, and a landlord in a new home who will not allow either dog. Although both dogs were raised with children and extremely people friendly, ( per the owner), both of these animals are so devastated from being relinquished from what they were familiar with, I have not been able to be friend and catch either of them for two days now. It will happen, and I’m taking it slow, but they are both loose in a big yard, where I had, the owner placed them when he dropped them off. It just breaks my heart to watch them pace the fence, and wonder what’s happening. Of course, neither of them are neutered, that will be next on the agenda, after I fully vaccinate them because they’re not current on anything.God, this just makes me sick. Until then, I need to catch them, get them vetted, and get them inside. Just wanted to share a common story. They are safe. They are loved. They will need homes just like the other adoptable Rottweilers here now.
