Please consider a donation of any size to the Woodland Tree Foundation for the BDOG. These funds will be used to continue the Foundation’s 26 years of “Building Community Through Canopy” now 7,000 shade trees strong!

Increasing Woodland’s precious shade canopy is only possible with the generous donations from the community and the tremendous grass roots volunteer effort of planting and caring for the trees. The Foundation operates without paid staff, but we have overhead costs like insurance and the direct cost of purchasing the trees planted by our volunteers.

Today we kicked off our celebration of 25 Years since the founding of the Woodland Tree Foundation 🌳
We honored the partnerships and support between the city, volunteers and board members who helped protect and plant thousands of trees for our beautiful city!

Calling all tree lovers!! Did you know our volunteer lead team has planted over 6000 trees In our community?
This week is the Big Day of Giving, an opportunity for those who love Woodland to contribute to the organizations of their choosing that are striving to make Woodland a better place to live.

The Woodland Tree Foundation (WT) is one of those organizations. We have been around since 2000 and have planted over 6000 trees with the help of many, many volunteers. Folks, young and old, from Woodland, Davis, Sacramento, other Yolo County towns, and even students from Africa, have come to help us plant trees.

We are an all- volunteer non-profit organization whose goal is to “Build Community through Canopy”. The past few years we worked with the City of Woodland, California ReLeaf, and PG &E to plant trees in city parking lots, at schools, parks, and private residents. These plantings will enhance the beauty of Woodland, and will provide shade for home-owners, shoppers, schools, and park lovers.

Thursday 5/1/2025 is the official day of BDOG, If you would like to make a donation to the Woodland Tree Foundation, simply visit this page.
