Juneteenth, a pivotal moment in American history that marks the emancipation of the last enslaved African Americans in the United States on June 19, 1865.

Juneteenth is not only a celebration of freedom-it is a reminder of the resilience, strength, and enduring contributions of Black communities throughout history. It also calls on all of us to reflect on the progress we've made and the continued work toward equity and justice.

⭐️Meet Natasha Reed, Director of QC & R&D at Berjé Inc, and the President of WFFC’s New Jersey Executive Board!

Natasha shared, “My mission as WFFC NJ president is to build membership, mentorship and empower the members of the organization
I started as a chemist in an industry that I never heard of, and couldn’t understand what that smell was. I was able to work with amazing companies, but most importantly found incredible career and life mentors. My goal is to always pay it forward. I am so lucky that Arlene White and Jane Pinkava asked if I wanted to go to my first Industry event ever and it was with the WFFC.
I’ve made best friends in this industry and some that I consider family. I am so very lucky to be part of this creative science world.
To all the women in supply chain, I am hoping to add more members, build more stories, and continue upholding the WFFCs mission.”

👊 Join the WFFC NJ Chapter on March 11 to join our March Wellness event, Fight For Your Health!

You will participate in a self-defense class led by certified-Krav Maga instructor and founder of Phierce Phemale, Heather Russell! This course will give you tangible tools to prevent, avoid, de-escalate, and leave a potential dangerous situation.

After the self-defense class, there will be an interactive presentation on functional beverages, flavor trends and the industry’s focus on health and wellbeing with Takasago’s Jr. Flavorist Stephanie Russell.

The Cincinnati Chapter of WFFC invites you to our Color Crash event! We will gather at Redtree Coffee and Art in OTR, where we will begin our evening by pairing into color teams and network while indulging in our favorite “tincture.”
Once we have gathered the whole hue crew, we will sit with our chromatic companions and enjoy tasting a spectrum of food and beverages. Whilst we will use all our senses with the Givaudan Sense Color team through an interactive demonstration to learn about natural and caramel colors.
Your registration includes validated parking at Washington Park Garage as well as dinner (catered from Mazunte) and drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic options) at Redtree. Washington Park Garage is located at 1310 Elm Street, which is about a 500ft walk to Redtree.
Bring a new or gently used art supply donation for a chance to win one of our raffles! Donations will benefit Scrap It Up, a non-profit creative reuse center.

The Cincinnati Chapter of the WFFC hosted a gin tasting event at Northern Row Brewery & Distilling in the OTR neighborhood of Cincinnati on July 12th, 2023. Attendees were treated to a variety of delicious cocktails and appetizers as well as an overview of four gin varieties and some gin education. The program also included some history of the Brewery and its decor. We also wrapped up our Dress For Success friendly flavor house competition - keep posted for the results!

On June 6th, 2023 the WFFC Cincinnati hosted a fun and fabulous evening of networking at the amazingly beautiful and eclectic venue, Ghostbaby, in the Over The Rhine District.
Attendees enjoyed specialty cocktails, light bites, some great music in addition to great conversations music with others in the industry.
