Thank you again everyone. We are in the final hours and need 13 more trees matched. The next update will come in a few weeks. A little break from us filling your inbox. You will get an email notification directly if your trees were matched. We will be in the field this week because the weather is going to be beautiful! If you want to come out Friday, let us know. We're planning for a cookout, but want to be sure we have enough food.

We are slowly shoveling out of the snow this morning. It's another cold day. But the sun is shining and we are hopeful.

We have 48 trees left to sell to meet our goal of 200 to then match. Just 48. And there are 4 days left in February. So, plenty of time to get these trees sold. Would you be up for sending this email to friends, family and coworkers today? Or even your neighbors. Heck, send it to the head of your HOA. Anyone you think would be up for helping us in our mission to replant the forest on our little spot on the mountain.

48 is just too close to give up and quit. So we have to try.

We're really thankful you read these emails and share. We're grateful of your love and caring in our work and the words don't come as they should but we are really really appreciative of you.

Spring is so close. Soon we'll be planting, transplanting and having cook-outs. We'll be in full swing with work again and this abysmal cold weather will be a faint memory. Of which we are ready. Being cooped up for days on end when we're used to being outside every day is slowly unhinging us.

Where ever you are today friends, we sincerely hope you're safe and well. Have a good sip of coffee or tea and just know we wouldn't be this close to our goal without YOU.

We hope everyone had a great Holiday weekend. We are now at 60 trees left to match in 6 days. We do not want this great opportunity to match trees to go unfulfilled. If you want to share this email with coworkers and extended family, our goal will surely be met.

Can you help us close this out today? I know 60 trees in a day is a big task but we think we can do it. We are working from home today because it currently -18 wind-chill outside. Spring can not come soon enough. The trees are fine out there. I like to think their having a snow party

We are so close to our match goal. We have only 65 trees left to go!

Many of you have asked for pictures. We want to remind you that the best way to follow with pictures is on Instagram If you do not follow us there then you should be. We post quite often there. Coming out to see your tree is another option. It's muddy this week, so let us know if you're coming and bring your boots. Otherwise, we'll see you later this spring and summer for Friday cook-outs and picnics.

We only have 71 trees of the 200 tree match for February.

If you can help us push closer to our goal that would be tremendous.

The snow has been coming every few days now. The moisture is needed but we are ready for Spring. We're looking forward to the wildflowers in the meadow and birds in the houses we painted.

Winter months are long and work is mainly maintenance things that were pushed back during the planting season. As long as the sun is out and the wind is low its really not bad in our little valley even with the day temps below zero.

Thank you for your continued support. Please keep us in mind in your 2022 travels and stop by to visit your trees and have a tour if you can.

We are almost at the half way point of this short month and we are past the half way of the match!

Tomorrow is Valentine's day. What is better then the gift of a tree? We even have a Valentine's day certificate that you can issue to that special person.

We are doing great with your help in matching these 200 trees. Our total stands at 72 of the 200 now. This is amazing.
Part of this 72 sold was a larger block of trees. We have special options for business owners or just individuals looking to give away bigger groups of trees. We have tools that make it much easier to assign each tree to the larger list or we can even do it for you. We can put your logo on the backside of our tree tag. We can also host your business or group on site for a tour and planting of our trees. During 2021 we had a number of groups come out and plant their own trees as team building exercises and, in our humble opinion, perfect excuses to get out of the office.

21 of the 200 trees have now been matched. Thank you to everyone that has participated. Please help if you can in us meeting our goal.

A number of questions have come up about the transplanting of trees. It is a complicated move for sure. Access is often tough in the areas where we will be moving trees from. Sides of steep terrain. Down in washes or. Trees in nature grow in protected areas best. In low areas, behind larger rocks, behind other trees. The biggest tree we will be able to transplant without expensive, heavy equipment will be about 4 feet tall. We are going to test a gas-powered hammer shovel that looks promising to help break apart the roots safely without causing irreparable damage to the sapling. From the ground of our partnered tree farm, Hidden Valley, just down the road from us, they will go into larger pots with good soil and root starter supplements with regular watering and good sunlight. We have already been testing this method with a few donated saplings from a closer neighbor and it's working well. When they root out a bit they will go into the ground of our program. We can then get those larger ones from Hidden Valley.

Where will these larger trees be planted? We will replace some of the smaller trees we have planted over the last 2 years. If your tree is replaced with a larger one you will get an email update and a picture this summer.

If you are considering gifting a larger number of trees to family or if you are a company giving to your employees then reach out to us. We have a new system to help distribute them and manage them. We'd be happy to explain this new approach to you.

Please be on the lookout on our Instagram to see pictures of the few donated saplings growing tall and strong in our greenhouse later today! We're so excited to be doing this with you. These tests and bigger transplants will be a game-changer in our program as far as windbreaks and soil erosion go, and it's all thanks to you.
