Wednesdays at 12 noon - We will meet on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month live, in-person at the BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse (6424 Canoga Ave., Woodland Hills 91367)for a lunch meeting; it will also be on Zoom. For months consisting of 5 weeks, a social event will be held in the evening on the last Wednesday of those months...

What Is Rotary? Rotary International is a volunteer organizati

on of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service, and help to build goodwill and peace in the world. There are approximately 1.2 million Rotary club members belonging to 34,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Founded in Chicago in 1905, Rotary celebrated 100 years of service in 2005. The Rotary Foundation has awarded more than US$2.1 billion in grants, which are administered at the local level by Rotary clubs like the Rotary Club of Woodland Hills. Rotary clubs exist to improve communities through a range of humanitarian, intercultural and educational activities. Clubs advance international understanding by partnering with clubs in other countries. Rotary also encourages high ethical standards in all vocations. Rotary clubs address critical issues at home and abroad by providing health care and medical supplies, clean water, food, job training, youth development, and education to millions of people in need.

Rotary Club of Woodland Hills continues towards a strong close to the month of May!

The Rotary Club of Woodland Hills continues to prove why “Service Above Self” is more than just a motto — it is a way of life. In just the month of May, club members and volunteers completed an incredible range of community service projects throughout the San Fernando Valley and beyond.
Club volunteers helped feed food-insecure families through service efforts at the Khalsa Foundation, bringing meals, compassion, and hope to those in need. Members also proudly participated in the Rotary Pageant of the Arts and connected with thousands of community members while hosting a booth at the successful Asian Pacific Festival at Pierce College.

The club’s spirit of caring extended to seniors as volunteers delivered thoughtful Mother’s Day gifts to residents at Haven Hills. Rotary members also partnered in meaningful projects to decorate apartments for aged-out foster youth, helping young adults transition into independent living with dignity and support.

Environmental and beautification efforts remained a major focus as members participated in anti-graffiti cleanup work along the LA River and supported Mayor Karen Bass’ ShineLA projects in Sherman Oaks.
In education, the club finalized scholarships for more than 30 students across the Valley, continuing its strong commitment to youth leadership and opportunity.

One of the month’s highlights was the unveiling of the colorful new Rotary utility box mural in Encino, celebrating Rotary District 5280’s theme: “Unite for Good.”
The Rotary Club of Woodland Hills continues to show that when neighbors come together with passion and purpose, communities thrive.
