Lucas is a sweet, playful young pup looking for a forever home with a yard and room to run! He’s fully vaccinated, neutered, potty trained, and great with kids, adults, and other dogs.

Lucas is about 26 lbs currently but will likely fill out closer to 35–40 lbs as he matures. He appears to be a Carolina Dog mix with the cutest oversized ears ever.

No known medical issues. Cats are TBD.

Today Soula and I stopped and gave this pup and his owner a new collar and leash and a toy. Cleopatra the Pittie was so happy to get a Christmas gift. 🎁

November is a great time to welcome a new furry family member as LA Animal Services is offering reduced adoption fees during the Adopt a Furry Friend Weekend. Adoption fees for dogs are $51(does not include the $20 dog license fees for dogs more than 4-months-old), puppies: $75, cats: $12.50, and kittens: $25. Visit any of our six LA City shelters to meet your new furry family member!

Pets adopted from LA Animal Services join their new families already spayed or neutered, vaccinated, licensed, and microchipped, and adopters receive a VCA Healthy Start Certificate, which provides up to $250 of follow-up veterinary care within the first 14 days of adoption. In addition, canine companions adopted from LA Animal Services are also eligible for free dog training classes at the Paws for Life K9 Rescue People & Pet Innovation Center in Mission Hills, CA.
