Contract Specialists become experts in their collective bargaining agreement and empower coworkers to become active participants in our union. This is a great opportunity to educate and empower members to stand together to enforce the contract.
Who Should Apply
The Contract Specialist Program is an extensive opportunity for those who:
✅Want to fully understand UNAC/UHCP
✅Have a desire to help build their union
✅Are ready to learn through practical application
Terms and Compensation
➡️Contract Specialists are expected to participate fully in all meetings, trainings, and other opportunities provided by UNAC/UHCP Staff Representatives and Departments.
➡️If selected, you’ll receive all the tools and training you need to become an important resource for UNAC/UHCP members at your facility. Terms include:
➡️20 hours per week (0.5 FTE)
➡️One-year term: January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2027
➡️Released from regular duties for those hours and paid by Kaiser Permanente
➡️Retain the right to return to your current position
