Cpl. Villarreal completed his final mission on October 17th while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. The Marine Corps said his personal service awards include the Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and NATO Medal.

We think he deserves to be remembered...

Donald’s dream was to be a lifer in the Army and continue with college so he could become an officer.  He loved all sports and excelled in baseball and bowling.  He also enjoyed the outdoors. His favorite place in the world, Germany!

While assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas, Steven passed away in Tallil, Iraq from non-combat related injuries.

Steven grew up in a foster home in Fremont, California. By his 18th birthday, his guardian had passed away. He traveled around for a bit, then attended San Francisco City College, majoring in Liberal Arts.

Gary was killed while riding in a Bradley Fighting Vehicle that hit an improvised explosive device in Fallujah, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, based in Fort Riley, Kansas.

Gary was a 1990 graduate of Magnolia High School in Magnolia, Texas, where he played football, track and baseball. He was very popular.
